Mars conjoined the brilliant Dog Star Sirius today.
This rare aspect with Mars now watered down and uncomfortable in Home loving Cancer, considered it its “Fall “; is Not an easy place for the fiery aggressive and Angry Red Planet. Yet it will be that way until September 27th and then we will move into much more comfortable Leo. This bookended one of the more difficult weeks of the year. Mars Conjunct Sirius all day long symbolizes intense drive, courage, ambition, visibility, and the potential for great success … or conflict. Sirius the most brilliant star in our Northern Hemisphere sky is traditionally associated with prominence, success, great wealth, benefit and bliss as well as High Achievement. Mars brings action, competition, anger, sexuality, force and sometimes War.
The conjunction is especially charged because Mars is also closely involved with a square to Saturn uncomfortable in Aries yesterday on September 1 … while the moon has been Void–of -Course for almost 2 days … anything can happen nothing is off the table great miracles or great calumny … or Both!
Symbolically, this can feel like force meeting resistance: frustration, blocked efforts, authority conflicts, impatience, or pressure to prove yourself.
