The New Moon in Libra arrives today, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 8:50am PT. The Sun also in Libra conjoins the Moon at 17° 22’ of the sign of fair and balanced Libra. This is Autumn’s first new moon. It is considered a yearly reset for all relationships. Libra represents balance ( or imbalance) approbation, compromise, and the deals or compacts that we make with other people — and with ourselves
This is not the time for quiet decorum or holding back from truth and honest negotiation. Venus, Mars, and Saturn, along with Pluto, bring some tension, some frustration, and maybe even some anger into this mix. Libra’s traditional ruler, Venus, is now transiting retrograde in deep dark Scorpio since The 3rd of the month. The planet of Finance and Romance will not station direct until November 13th. However before that date Venus will have retrogressed back into Libra later in the month. The result is a New Beginning ; but one that may feel more like a repositioning or renegotiation than a Blank Page or a Clean Slate.
Venus Rx at this New Moon encourages a rewrite, a review, or revisiting the terms of a contract or agreement in principle or agreement so both parties can live with or abide by the terms.
It is a fortuitous time to redefine just exactly what is “ Fair” and what is “ Balanced “ in partnership matters, in our domestic set up or household, and just what is meant by “ collaborative” projects or endeavors.
Now is the time to initiate creative or aesthetic plans, but remembering that they may not fully take off until Venus and Mercury both go direct in mid November, and ultimately clear their shadows by mid December. Repurpose something that may have been long postponed and at the same time you may reap the benefits or an unexpected long overdue financial or emotional windfall.financially. Something that has been long delayed may come to completion or fruition during this next week or so…
Reexamine your self-worth, your financial goals, and the authenticity of your own ideas and actions, vis-a-vis others. This is more than just being popular or well liked.
