Neptune planet of illusion, deception, transcendence, and liberation, compassion and fatigue,self sacrifice and Unconditional love,the ruler of Pisces and associate of Sagittarius will turn retrograde today until December 10th, in its yearly movement backwards. It falls at 2° of Aries into which it has entered for the first time since the American Civil War and is fully retrograde by 2:34 PM Pacific time. When Neptune turns retrograde we have time to reflect, and introspection becomes paramount. Boundaries need to be set, healing opportunities arise, trauma can surface and then fade, illusions need to be dispelled, and we get a hiatus, a break from the Madding Crowd… even on a busy day like today. Now we simply get the chance to get some Peace. Even with all the potential fireworks on the Personal and Transpersonal stages, Neptune retrograde falls on that part of everyone’s chart where we need to become more objective rather than reactive or subjective. It is critically important that we use this time to set boundaries, redirect our goals, examine our relationships ;We examine our part in things and strip away any illusory, self-deceptive, self-destructive behaviors. We can see them for what they really are rather than what we’d wish them to be. Is it real or is it Memorex? Have we been relieved of our duty of care or are we being deceived? For the next six months, it is important that we get right with ourselves and our relationships and even though we may feel a very high level of melancholy today, some ennui, trepidation about Things To Come or what could’ve would’ve might’ve should’ve happened… remember that the universe begins to settle down by Sunday ……just in time for Uranus to shift into Gemini, a Full Moon in Capricorn and an upcoming Mercury Retrograde so just for today … we get a little bit of Home, Hearth, Mom, Apple Pie and the Perception of Freedom.
